Raspberry x 'Boyne'

Raspberry x 'Boyne': Early Red Raspberries with Aromatic Flavour

Boyne produces medium-sized dark red raspberries with an aromatic, moderately tart flavour. Its early-season crop begins the summer berry harvest on a relatively narrow planting.

Plant Characteristics:

• Height: 125-150 cm
• Spread: 60-80 cm
• Flower Colour: White
• Flowering Period: Spring
• Foliage: Green
• Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun
• Soil Requirements: Moist to Average Soil; Well-Drained Soil

Uses and Benefits: Enjoy the fruit fresh, freeze it or use it for canning. The lively flavour makes Boyne useful where a raspberry is wanted for both the fruit bowl and preserving.

Care Instructions: This summer-bearing selection crops on second-year canes. Remove those canes after they have fruited and retain healthy new canes for the following summer. Keep the bed mulched and consistently moist.
