Pear x 'Golden Spice': Small Pears with Sweet Spiced Aroma

Golden Spice carries smaller yellow pears with a dull red blush and sweet, aromatic flesh. Spring blossom adds visual appeal before the crop matures in late August.

Plant Characteristics:

• Height: 6-7 m
• Spread: 5-6 m
• Flower Colour: White
• Flowering Period: Spring
• Foliage: Green
• Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun
• Soil Requirements: Average to Dry Soil; Well-Drained Soil

Uses and Benefits: A useful pear for jam, canning and stored fruit. Its smaller size and aromatic flavour give it a different role from large fresh-dessert pears.

Care Instructions: Plant with a compatible pear flowering at the same time. Keep the roots well drained, thin excessive crops and pick mature fruit carefully before allowing it to ripen for kitchen use.
