Peach x 'Veteran'

Peach x 'Veteran': Golden Freestone Peaches with Flecked Flesh

Veteran develops medium to large peaches with golden-yellow skins touched by red. The juicy yellow flesh is red-flecked and sweet, with a late-August harvest.

Plant Characteristics:

• Height: 5-6 m
• Spread: 4-5 m
• Flower Colour: Pale Pink
• Flowering Period: Spring
• Foliage: Green
• Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun
• Soil Requirements: Moist to Average Soil; Average to Dry Soil; Well-Drained Soil

Uses and Benefits: Enjoy the quality freestone fruit fresh or prepare it in the kitchen. Its softer golden colouring offers a contrast to strongly red-skinned peach varieties.

Care Instructions: Provide sun, fertile soil and free drainage. Thin excess fruit and maintain steady moisture. Check ripening peaches for split pits and use affected fruit promptly rather than setting it aside for storage.
