Hippophae rhamnoides Orange Energy® ('Habego'): Orange Berries on a Broad Fruiting Shrub

Orange Energy® produces large yellow-orange sea buckthorn berries on sturdy, wide-spreading branches. The flavourful crop generally ripens from mid to late September, and the plant needs a male pollinator.

Plant Characteristics:

• Height: 200-250 cm
• Spread: 125-150 cm
• Flower Colour: Yellow
• Foliage: Green
• Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun
• Soil Requirements: Moist to Average Soil; Well-Drained Soil; Average to Dry Soil

Uses and Benefits: Use this female selection in a planned sea buckthorn fruit planting with room for its broad framework. The bright berries bring conspicuous harvest colour among the green leaves.

Care Instructions: Include a compatible male such as Lord nearby. Give the shrub sun and good drainage, allow access around its thorny branches and monitor spreading growth so the planting stays within its allotted space.
