Haskap x 'Boreal Beast': Elongated Haskap Berries with Sweet-Tart Flavour

Boreal Beast produces elongated to oval berries with a flavour combining sweetness and tartness. Its compact fruiting framework makes it an appealing addition to a dedicated haskap planting.

Plant Characteristics:

• Height: 100-125 cm
• Spread: 80-90 cm
• Flower Colour: Yellow
• Foliage: Green
• Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun
• Soil Requirements: Well-Drained Soil; Moist to Average Soil

Uses and Benefits: Use the crop fresh or in berry recipes once fully mature. This cultivar needs a compatible haskap with overlapping flowers, so plan it as part of a pollination pair rather than an isolated shrub.

Care Instructions: Provide organic-rich, well-drained soil and plenty of sun. Check the chosen pollinator's flowering period. Blue skin alone does not mean ripe fruit; the inside should also be deep purple-red rather than green.
