Haskap x 'Berry Blue'

Haskap x 'Berry Blue': A Productive Haskap for a Pollination Pair

Berry Blue carries small tubular blue berries and is valued for productivity and its role as a pollinator. The June crop has a more tart character than some sweeter haskap selections.

Plant Characteristics:

• Height: 125-150 cm
• Spread: 125-150 cm
• Flower Colour: Yellow
• Flowering Period: Spring
• Foliage: Green
• Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun
• Soil Requirements: Moist to Average Soil; Well-Drained Soil

Uses and Benefits: Useful in a compatible haskap grouping where reliable pollination matters as much as dessert sweetness. The crop can contribute a lively flavour to preserves and mixed berry recipes.

Care Instructions: Match it with a cultivar flowering at the same time. Keep the root zone moist but well drained and check that berries are fully coloured inside before picking, as the skins can turn blue early.
