Haskap x 'Aurora': Large Haskap Berries That Hold on the Branch
Aurora produces large berries that remain on the shrub longer than those of some other haskaps. Its June crop and usefulness as a pollinator make it a practical selection in a mixed haskap bed.
Plant Characteristics:
- Height: 200-250 cm
- Spread: 100-125 cm
- Flower Colour: Yellow
- Flowering Period: Spring
- Foliage: Green
- Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun
- Soil Requirements: Well-Drained Soil; Moist to Average Soil
Uses and Benefits: Enjoy the berries fresh and use Aurora alongside compatible Borealis, Tundra or Indigo selections. It provides its own harvest while helping a planned group of shrubs crop reliably.
Care Instructions: Grow in sun with organic-rich soil and good drainage. Maintain moisture and allow the berries to ripen throughout; they should be purple-red inside, not just blue on the outside.
