Gooseberry x 'Pixwell'

Gooseberry x 'Pixwell': Pink-Ripening Gooseberries That Are Easier to Pick

Pixwell starts with pale green gooseberries that mature through pink toward purple. Fruit hangs below the branches, making it more accessible at the July harvest.

Plant Characteristics:

• Height: 125-150 cm
• Spread: 125-150 cm
• Flower Colour: Yellow
• Flowering Period: Spring
• Foliage: Green
• Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun / Partial Sun
• Soil Requirements: Average to Dry Soil; Moist to Average Soil; Well-Drained Soil

Uses and Benefits: Choose Pixwell for jelly and other gooseberry recipes. Its outward-hanging fruit is particularly useful where comfortable hand-picking matters.

Care Instructions: Maintain fertile, moist soil with good drainage and leave room around the shrub for picking. Remove crowded and ageing branches gradually, keeping a mix of younger productive stems rather than shearing the plant.
