Cotoneaster dammeri 'Coral Beauty'

Cotoneaster dammeri 'Coral Beauty': Glossy Ground Cover and Bright Red Fruit

Coral Beauty combines a mounding, spreading outline with glossy rounded leaves. Small white flowers give way to fruit that becomes red in fall, adding colour as the foliage takes on purplish tones. Its trailing branches bring texture to ground level and can soften the edges of walls and stonework.

Plant Characteristics:

• Height: 40-50 cm
• Spread: 150-175 cm
• Flower Colour: White
• Flowering Period: Spring
• Foliage: Dark Green
• Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun / Full Shade / Partial Sun
• Soil Requirements: Average to Dry Soil / Moist to Average Soil / Well-Drained Soil

Uses and Benefits:

Use Coral Beauty above a retaining wall or beside stonework where its trailing branches can hang freely. Red fruit and purplish fall foliage extend the interest of its glossy ground-level greenery.

Care Instructions:

Leave room for the stems to extend and root along the surface. Prune individual branches to manage the edge without eliminating the trailing effect. Protect exposed plants from drying winter winds and water during establishment.
