Buxus x 'Green Velvet'

Buxus x 'Green Velvet': Soft Rounded Structure in Dark Green

Green Velvet forms a compact rounded shrub covered in small dark green leaves. A bronzy-green cast develops in fall, giving its evergreen foliage a gentle seasonal change. The full outline provides a useful foundation for a planting, with fine texture that looks equally at home in a shaped hedge or a relaxed garden bed.

Plant Characteristics:

• Height: 80-100 cm
• Spread: 80-100 cm
• Flower Colour: Green
• Flowering Period: Early Spring
• Foliage: Dark Green
• Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun / Full Shade / Partial Sun
• Soil Requirements: Moist to Average Soil / Well-Drained Soil / Average to Dry Soil

Uses and Benefits:

Choose Green Velvet for a low hedge, a rounded foundation grouping or a soft green boundary around seasonal flowers. Its compact crown gives a border structure without the pointed silhouette of a pyramidal selection.

Care Instructions:

Clip gently if a continuous hedge is required, or allow the natural rounded form to show. Supply water during establishment and keep the roots drained. Shield exposed young foliage from drying winter winds and avoid crowding the crowns.
