Buxus x 'Green Gem'

Buxus x 'Green Gem': A Rounded Gem of Evergreen Texture

Green Gem brings small dark green leaves to a rounded boxwood outline. The foliage develops bronzy tones in fall, while the dense shape keeps the planting visually connected through winter. Its modest scale makes it an effective repeated element along a border or a small evergreen feature within a mixed bed.

Plant Characteristics:

• Height: 60-80 cm
• Spread: 60-80 cm
• Flower Colour: Green
• Flowering Period: Early Spring
• Foliage: Dark Green
• Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun / Full Shade / Partial Sun
• Soil Requirements: Moist to Average Soil / Well-Drained Soil / Average to Dry Soil

Uses and Benefits:

Repeat Green Gem along a path or use its rounded crown as a small formal accent. The compact outline supplies a measured rhythm beneath taller plants while the fine leaves soften the edge of a bed.

Care Instructions:

Keep the rounded shape balanced with light clipping when needed. Water young plants through dry periods and avoid saturated soil. Winter protection is useful where new plants face persistent wind and exposed sun.
