Apple x 'Gala'

Apple x 'Gala': Striped Apples with an Aromatic Sweetness

Gala brings golden-yellow apples heavily marked with red stripes and sweet, fragrant flesh. Ripening from August into early September, it offers an earlier harvest than many autumn apples.

Plant Characteristics:

• Flower Colour: White, Pale Pink
• Flowering Period: Spring
• Foliage: Green
• Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun
• Soil Requirements: Well-Drained Soil; Average to Dry Soil

Uses and Benefits: The versatile crop works for lunchboxes, fresh slices and everyday kitchen use. Pair its harvest timing with later apples to spread the picking season.

Care Instructions: Grow with a compatible pollinating apple and avoid shading the fruiting branches. Thin close fruit clusters early and pick in stages as the striped apples develop their characteristic sweetness.
