Apple x 'Cortland'

Apple x 'Cortland': Deep Red Apples with a Gentle Tang

Cortland produces generous red apples with white flesh and a pleasant balance of sweetness and tartness. The juicy bite suits autumn snacking, while pale spring flowers mark the start of a crop that generally ripens in October.

Plant Characteristics:

• Flower Colour: White, Pale Pink
• Flowering Period: Spring
• Foliage: Green
• Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun
• Soil Requirements: Well-Drained Soil; Average to Dry Soil

Uses and Benefits: A useful choice for households that enjoy both fresh apples and homemade sauce. Its white flesh and bright flavour bring variety to the autumn fruit bowl.

Care Instructions: Provide a compatible apple flowering at the same time. Thin crowded fruit clusters and water through dry spells to help the larger apples develop. Pick Cortland when its background colour and flavour indicate ripeness.
