Anemone Fall in Love® 'Sweetly': Rose Pink Drifts, No Staking Required
Rich rose-pink flowers on heavily branched stems, forming a big mound that keeps blooming into fall. 'Sweetly' is the anemone that brings flowers on the first date AND the hundredth. HOPELESS ROMANTIC.

Where to Plant: Use it in the middle of a border to carry colour from August into October. It's compact enough that it rarely needs staking. Planted in groups, it makes a soft pink drift along a fence or in a lightly shaded spot.
Companion Plants: Kalimeris 'Blue Star' fills the front with small blue daisies from June to September. Lilium 'Casa Blanca' rises behind with large white flowers in July and August, just before the pink anemones open. Echinops ritro adds round blue heads up to 120 cm from July to September. All three grow in full sun or partial sun.
Plant Care: Plant in moist, well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter. It grows in sun or part shade. In full sun, keep the soil evenly moist and give it shade from hot afternoon sun if you can. Japanese anemones can take a season to settle in. Once happy, it spreads slowly by underground rhizomes into a broader clump. Mulch in its first winter. Cut the foliage back in late fall or early spring. Divide in spring if you want to move or share a piece.
History: Fall in Love® 'Sweetly' was bred by Hans Hansen at Walters Gardens in Zeeland, Michigan, from a 2014 cross between 'Pamina' and 'Pretty Lady Emily'. It received its US plant patent in 2019 and is sold through Proven Winners®.
