Achillea New Vintage™ Rose: Rosy Flat-Tops That Love the Heat
Rose-pink plates that keep coming back for another pour all summer. This yarrow is a crisp rosé on a hot patio, minus the headache. CHILLED, DRY AND DANGEROUSLY EASY.

Where to Plant: Use it in the front or middle of a sunny border, in a cottage garden or in a pollinator bed. It's narrow enough for containers and small spaces. It's a solid pick for hot, dry spots and for beds where some winter salt splashes in.
Companion Plants: Edge the bed with Armeria 'Alba', a neat 15 to 20 cm plant with white flowers in late spring. Perovskia 'CrazyBlue' brings violet spires from midsummer to early fall, a soft partner for rose pink. Behind them, Eryngium yuccifolium rises up to 150 cm with white flower heads and a bold, spiky form. All three share full sun with the yarrow.
Plant Care: Plant in full sun in well-drained, average soil. Lean soil keeps the stems strong, so go easy on compost and fertilizer. Water through the first season, then only during dry spells. Cut back faded flower stems to encourage rebloom. Cut the whole plant down in late fall or early spring. Divide in spring every few years to keep it vigorous.
History: The genus is named for Achilles, the Greek hero said to have used yarrow to treat wounds, and millefolium means "thousand leaves". New Vintage™ selections were bred for a compact habit and strong flower colour.
