Saskatoon Berry x 'Martin'

Saskatoon Berry x 'Martin': A Larger Saskatoon for a Generous Fruiting Framework

Martin forms a substantial upright shrub with white early spring flowers and blueberry-like berries in early summer. Its larger outline makes it a strong structural plant in an edible garden.

Plant Characteristics:

• Height: 4-5 m
• Spread: 3-4 m
• Flower Colour: White
• Flowering Period: Early Spring
• Foliage: Green
• Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun / Partial Sun
• Soil Requirements: Moist to Average Soil; Well-Drained Soil

Uses and Benefits: Enjoy the fruit fresh or use it in pies, jam and other desserts. Reserve enough space to appreciate the flowering canopy and reach the branches for picking.

Care Instructions: Provide sun and moist, well-drained soil. Thin crowded growth selectively rather than shearing away the flowering branches, and water during dry periods as the early summer fruit develops.
