Saskatoon Berry x 'Honeywood'

Saskatoon Berry x 'Honeywood': Large Saskatoon Berries with Less Suckering

Honeywood opens white flowers in spring before developing large, blueberry-like berries with excellent flavour. Its comparatively low-suckering character is useful in a planned edible border.

Plant Characteristics:

• Height: 200-250 cm
• Spread: 175-200 cm
• Flower Colour: White
• Flowering Period: Early Spring
• Foliage: Green
• Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun
• Soil Requirements: Well-Drained Soil; Moist to Average Soil

Uses and Benefits: Enjoy the fruit fresh or turn it into pies and jam. This selection combines a productive crop with a tidy presence where fewer spreading shoots are desirable.

Care Instructions: Give the shrub sun and moist, well-drained soil. Maintain an open framework through selective renewal pruning, remove unwanted shoots and protect the berries from birds as the crop ripens.
