Pear x 'Luscious'

Pear x 'Luscious': Sweet Juicy Pears for Fresh Eating and Sauce

Luscious produces small to medium yellow pears with a red blush and very juicy, sweet flesh. Its September harvest is particularly appealing for eating fresh, cooking and making sauces.

Plant Characteristics:

• Height: 4-5 m
• Spread: 4-5 m
• Flower Colour: Cream
• Flowering Period: Spring
• Foliage: Green
• Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun
• Soil Requirements: Well-Drained Soil; Average to Dry Soil

Uses and Benefits: Choose it for flavourful fresh pears and soft-textured kitchen recipes. This selection is not suited to canning and cannot supply pollen to another pear tree.

Care Instructions: Provide a compatible pear that can pollinate Luscious. If that partner also needs cross-pollination, include a third compatible cultivar. Maintain sunlight in the canopy and harvest mature pears gently for ripening.
